How to open the Tableau if it has disappeared in Yandex Browser? Your own scoreboard in the Yandex browser Settings scoreboard.

When you open a new tab or click on Smart Row, the Tableau opens - a panel with widgets for the sites you visit most often. By default, widgets for some Yandex services are installed on Tableau.

To go to the desired site, click on its widget (it displays the logo and, if the widget does not open the main page of the site, the name of the page).

Advice. To quickly open the desired widget on the Tableau, use the keys:

    on Windows: press Ctrl + T and then Alt + 1, 2... .

    on macOS: press ⌘ + T and then Ctrl + 1, 2... .

where 1, 2... are the numbers of widgets on the Tableau (from left to right and top to bottom).

The set and sequence of widgets on the Tableau can be configured manually.

Note. To resize the Tableau, right-click on any widget and select the command Tableau Size → Normal or Tableau Size → Enlarged. If you select the command Tableau size → Fit to browser window, then when the browser window is reduced, the size of the widgets will also change.

Automatic selection of sites for Tableau

During the installation process, the browser selects sites for the Tableau based on the history imported from other browsers - the sites that you opened most often appear on the Tableau. If you did not import history during installation, the Tableau displays a default set of sites.

Yandex.Browser periodically updates widgets on Tableau that you have not pinned. Sites are added that you search for more often than others through the Smart Line or open through the Tableau.

Sites manually removed from the Tableau will no longer be automatically added to it. To return such a site to Tableau, add it yourself.

Adding widgets to Tableau

    Open Tableau.

    Under Tableau, click Add → Site.

    Specify the site you want to add to the Tableau widget. You can select a site from the Popular or Recently visited, and also enter its address manually.

Limitation. You can place up to 20 widgets on the Tableau.

Editing widgets

To manage the Tableau content, go to edit mode:

In edit mode you can:

","hasTopCallout":true,"hasBottomCallout":true,"areas":[("shape":"circle","direction":["top","left"],"alt":"Delete widget" ,"coords":,"isNumeric":false,"hasTopCallout":true,"hasBottomCallout":false),("shape":"circle","direction":["bottom","left"],"alt ":"Pin widget","coords":,"isNumeric":false,"hasTopCallout":false,"hasBottomCallout":true),("shape":"circle","direction":["bottom"," right"],"alt":"Unpin widget","coords":,"isNumeric":false,"hasTopCallout":false,"hasBottomCallout":true),("shape":"circle","direction": ["top","right"],"alt":"Edit widget","coords":,"isNumeric":false,"hasTopCallout":true,"hasBottomCallout":false)]))\">

Add a signature and enter the site name.
Additional editing options
Change the site the widget links to Click the icon and enter the site address in the line under the Tableau.
Add site name to widget Click the icon, then in the line under the Tableau click the button Add a signature and enter the site name.
Adjust the site name on the widget Click the icon, then correct the site name in the line under the Tableau.

Folders with widgets on Tableau

You can group widgets into folders. For example, by default, widgets with links to Yandex services are grouped into one folder.

Create a folder with widgets Delete a folder with widgets

Scoreboard Synchronization

You may have different favorite sites on different devices, so the Tableau on devices is generated independently of each other.

To find out which widgets are pinned to Tableau on any of your synchronized devices:

    Select the folder with the device name. Sites pinned to the Tableau are located at the top of the list that opens.

Disable Tableau synchronization

After that, on the tab Other devices sites pinned to the Tableau will not be displayed.

Scoreboard after OS reinstallation

If the operating system and then the browser were reinstalled on the computer, the Tableau will be updated - default widgets will appear on it. But you can view the list of sites attached to Tableau before reinstallation using synchronization (it is tied to the device name).

    In the list of devices, click the folder with the computer name before reinstalling the OS. A list of sites pinned to Tableau before reinstallation will open.

    If there is no such folder, then the computer name most likely did not change after reinstallation. In this case, the browser does not consider the computer a new device and does not show the data folder until reinstallation. Rename your computer ( Control PanelSystem and security→ System → Advanced System Settings→ Computer name) and wait a bit for the data to synchronize with the server. Then open the tab Other devices and open the folder with the old computer name.

Widgets disappear on Tableau

Widgets on the Tableau change because their list is automatically generated from the pages you visit most often.

To ensure that the widget is always in the same place, pin it.

Despite the efforts of the developers to create an intuitive Yandex Browser interface, it is often difficult to immediately guess where in the settings to enable or disable certain controls. This is the case with the missing “Scoreboard” element.

Tableau is a special area at the top of the browser where miniature images of websites or logos are located. Since the area occupies a decent amount of space, it was made so that it appears and disappears. The developers tried to predict the moment of appearance and disappearance based on user actions.

So, if a user wants to go to a site, he begins to write the URL in the address bar, at which point the program considers that it’s time to show the Tableau, because this site may already be presented on it.

If it's gone

As soon as the site starts loading, the scoreboard disappears. You can return it by starting a visit to a new resource. More about this below.

How to call it

The board appears only if the user expresses an intention to visit a portal. This intention involves performing one of two actions:

  • Opening a new tab;
  • Writing the resource address in the Yandex Browser line.

These actions are like commands that the program algorithm uses to open the “Scoreboard”.

Thus, there is no point in looking for it somewhere in the settings, start writing the address and it will appear.

Is it possible to stretch it

As far as I know, there is no way to enlarge the “Scoreboard”. The developers did not include this feature in the browser. It will not be possible to add more sites - their maximum number is limited to 18.

Controls

In order to configure the “Scoreboard” you need to go to editing mode. At the bottom of the window you can see the “settings” link; when you click it, the “Tableboard” switches to editing mode - graphic controls appear next to each thumbnail - pin/unpin icons (in the form of a stylized lock) and a delete icon (a cross). You can also rearrange widgets by dragging them.

Deny appearance

The official Yandex help section says:

If you are annoyed by the appearance of the “Scoreboard”, you can remove it. To do this, you need to go to the Yandex Browser settings and find the module responsible for the appearance. In it, disable the “Open Tableau” option.

No matter how hard I tried to find this option, I couldn’t find it. Most likely this feature has been removed in new versions of the browser.

It's gone somewhere

If “Scoreboard” does not open, it means you have disabled it in the settings. See the previous paragraph of the article and do the opposite - enable the “Open Tableau” option.

Change background

The scoreboard cannot be made transparent. This possibility is not provided (as far as I have information). Moreover, work with the background has also been stopped - I do not see buttons for editing the background in my browser, although they are described in the instructions in the Yandex help section. This means that this feature has already been lost in new versions.

Not saved to the cloud

“Scoreboard” synchronization does not occur for a very simple reason - Yandex developers chose to remove this feature based on their own considerations.

Both comments and trackbacks are currently closed.

If you decide to try the Yandex browser, but have little idea how to configure this browser, then it is better to refer to the instructions. By clicking on the wrong option, you risk disrupting the entire operation of the application. Of course, all browsers follow approximately the same principle, so that a new user can intuitively understand where to click and what to do, however, some functions and settings are hidden in completely different places in the Yandex browser. Carefully read the instructions and explanations in this article to configure your browser yourself according to your wishes and preferences.

How to configure the basic functions of Yandex browser

When you open your browser for the first time, you will see something similar to the screenshot below: you will have several tabs in the middle of the screen, a beautiful splash screen and a toolbar at the top.

  • To get started with the most basic settings, look for a small icon with three bars in the upper right corner of the program.
  • Click on it once with the left mouse button.
  • Here you will see the main menu of the Yandex browser. There are many options available to you: viewing your history, downloads, editing add-ons, viewing bookmarks. You need the “Settings” line.

Once inside this option, you can start debugging the browser.

  • The very first line will be “Synchronization”. This is a special browser feature that will allow you not to lose all your settings and bookmarks if something happens to your computer system.
  • Click on the “Enable Synchronization” button to use it.

  • You just need to log in to your Yandex mail to synchronize bookmarks and settings.
  • If you don’t have an email account yet, click on the “Create an account” button.

After setting up synchronization, return to the previous settings menu. In front of you will be a large block called “Appearance Settings” and a smaller block “Show Bookmarks Bar”.

Read each line carefully to understand what it says. Here are the most important lines in this menu:

  • “Disable background animation when the battery is low” – this item is not only for design purposes. By checking this box, you will save precious minutes of your battery power.
  • “Show in new Zen tab” is up to each user. When you open a new tab, it displays news and sites that are tailored to your interests. You can check the box here to see the Zen feed.
  • “Allow viewing online videos in a separate window” - some sites request this option, so check the box.

All other points are purely aesthetic in nature. The bottom block with the bookmarks bar is needed to display your saved sites. If you want to always see the bar with them, then set the value to “Always”. “Only on the scoreboard” will bookmark the welcome window in the Yandex Scoreboard.

Very little left:

  • Select the search engine you use in the “Search” line.
  • What do you want to see when you open your browser: recent tabs or a panel with sites? Check the box next to the option you want.
  • You also choose what you want to do when closing a tab.
  • The last two points are the appearance of the tabs. Typically, users set the tabs to be displayed at the top. And the last point allows tabs to shrink if you have too many open.

At the very bottom of the settings you can see the “Show advanced settings” button. If you are an inexperienced user and are afraid to add too much, then it is better not to try to configure additional parameters. They are set by default to quite convenient positions.

How to configure add-ons in Yandex browser

Add-ons can give you many new functions: antiviruses, hiding ads, pop-up news and much more.

  • In your browser settings, go to the “Add-ons” tab.

  • You'll see some default add-ons that you can enable right on this page. Read the descriptions of these tools to find out what they do and what they serve. If you want to turn on one of them, just click on the button where it says “Off” or move the cursor over it.

  • To install your add-on, go to the very bottom of the page and click on the “Catalog of extensions for Yandex.Browser” field.

  • You will see a huge list of official add-ons and extensions. To install one of them, just click on it and click “Add to Yandex.Browser”.

How to set up bookmarks in Yandex browser

  • You can add your favorite sites to special bookmarks and have access to them at any time. To do this, you need to go to the site you want to save. Next, pay attention to the small gray star in the upper right corner of the site.

Click on it and you will see a small menu.

  • Here you can set a name for your bookmark.
  • Select the save path “Bookmarks Bar”.
  • Now click “Done”.

The star will change color to yellow.

To see your bookmarks, go to the settings menu again and hover over the “Bookmarks” line.

You will see a list of these same bookmarks that you made earlier and a small menu.
Click on the line “Show bookmarks bar”.

Ready. You see all the sites that you have saved.
To disable the panel, repeat the algorithm again.

How to set up a scoreboard in Yandex browser

The welcome board is very convenient to use and looks beautiful. You can change or delete cells with sites in the right corner of the window.

  • By clicking on the lock, you fix the tab and prevent it from changing. If the lock icon is open, the tab will change content soon.
  • The gear allows you to change the name of the cell and the site in it.
  • The cross deletes the site.

  • Click on the “Add” button to add a new site.

The Yandex browser, despite its simplicity of appearance, has a lot of settings. To go to the settings menu, click the button in the upper right corner.

or use the hot keys Alt+F, the browser settings menu will appear, in which we select the “settings” column. You can also enter “browser://settings/” (without quotes) in the address bar.

In the Yandex settings, at the top right there is a search bar among the settings. If you are interested in one thing, you can easily find it by entering the required value in the line. Let's say you're interested in how you can change fonts in your browser. We type the word “font” into the search bar and see the result.

1 - “Where to start” - setting up the initial page when opening the browser. You can set a quick access page - that is, every time you start, a board with icons of popular pages will open, this is convenient when you always start using the Internet from the same sites.

If you select - restore tabs opened last time, when you start the browser, all pages that were not closed will open. This is convenient when working in search of any information. You can safely leave any interesting but unread page (just don’t close the page separately, but close the browser completely), without fear that you won’t find it later. There is also a column - open www.yandex.ru (search engine) if there are no tabs. That is, if you close each page separately, and when all the pages are closed, close the browser, then the next time you start the browser, it will open on the Yandex page.

2 — Appearance settings. The first column is “show Yandex button”, the button is installed by default in the upper left corner and, when clicked, opens the Yandex search page. If you uncheck the box, the button will not appear.

The column “open the display when you click on the smart line” is also by default. If this board helps the work, then it’s better to leave it, but let’s face it, it’s just an eyesore, so I’m removing it.

3 - Show the bookmarks menu, that is, an additional panel will appear under the address bar, where all the sites that you have added to bookmarks will be displayed as buttons.

By selecting “always”, the bookmarks bar will be shown on all pages. “Only on Tableau” - will be shown only on the quick access page, where you install gadgets with the most necessary sites, but if they are not enough, you can also add a bookmarks bar. “Never” - by selecting never, you will not be able to see the bookmarks panel unless you go to the bookmarks section. “Show icons” - it’s better to check the box, if you have a lot of sites in your bookmarks, then the icons will help you navigate.

5 - Synchronization. If you like the Yandex browser, and you have it installed on two or more computers (for example, at work and at home), then you can configure the browser on one of the computers, and then transfer all settings, bookmarks, passwords, and the like using synchronization To do this, you need to have an email account in Yandex mail. When you click the synchronization button, a data entry screen for email access appears, that is, you must enter a login and password (the login is entered without the ending “@yandex.ru”).

After this, it is possible to change the synchronization settings by selecting the active “Change settings” link.

In the settings, you can remove parameters that do not need to be synchronized; by default, all parameters are selected. Extensions and applications are also synchronized. Having configured the browser once, you will no longer have to remember what you installed on it, what bookmarks were there, and what passwords. Synchronization occurs via email, meaning the first computer does not need to be turned on. After selecting the necessary synchronization parameters, all that remains is to click the “close window” button.

After synchronizing from the first computer, you need to synchronize the browser in the same way from the second computer. After synchronization, the second computer will have exactly the same browser as the first, with the same settings, applications, etc.

For convenience, you can install a Yandex disk - a place on the Yandex server, accessed through your email in Yandex. Again, it’s convenient; you don’t need to copy files onto media and transfer them to another computer. It is also convenient for small organizations.

To disable synchronization, just select synchronization in the browser settings and click the “disable” button. Here you can change the synchronization parameters by clicking the “show parameters” button.

If your profile on social networks is not closed (or you have not logged out of your profile), then there will be no authorization window, but a request for permission to access data will immediately appear. Without this data, the Yandex service will not receive information about your messages and alerts. Click “allow” or “cancel” if you change your mind.

After this, you select what to notify about - about personal messages, about comments, about friend requests. By default, all boxes have a check mark. Below is the line “show contents”, that is, the letter to Yandex mail will indicate the person who wrote the message or asks to be a friend.

When you click the “disable” button, notifications on the scoreboard or quick access page are disabled.

7 - users. This function is available in many browsers; a detailed description can be found by clicking on the user settings link.

8 - default browser, that is, through which browser you will open saved Internet pages. If Yandex is designated as the default browser, it will say “Your default browser is now Yandex”; if another browser is the default, then there will be a button “Make Yandex the default browser”.

The material is outdated.

What is Tableau in Yandex browser? This is the same express panel that exists in other browsers. Actually, the question is: what is this article about and what am I doing here?

In fact, this is a trifle, well, why not?

Here I will not talk about how you can add a notifier to the widget (for example, the number of unread messages), you can simply use your logo in the Yandex browser display.

Let's get started

Add the following code on all pages of the site between And

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">

manifest.json- URL of the widget, from here the browser will take information for the scoreboard.

Create a file manifest.json with the following content:

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">(
"version": "1",
"api_version": 1,
"layout":
{
"logo": "http://site/images/logo_rus.png",
"color": "#236999",
"show_title": false
}

Replace #236999 to your color. You can get it from this safe colors guide.

Detailed documentation on the Tableau API page.

Didn't work out?

If you fail, you can identify the error using the page chrome://tableau-widget/. There you should enter a link to manifest.json on your website.
