Screenshot of the entire window with scrolling. How to take a screenshot of a long page |
In one of my posts I wrote about Google Chrome plugin for creating and editing screenshots. It provides quite a lot of tools for image processing. But, as you know, more functionality consumes more computer resources. What if all these tools are not needed and the user has only one specific task: for example, take a screenshot of the entire website page or some separate part of it? There is no point in installing a heavy extension in Google Chrome, especially on a weak PC. There is an optimal option: FireShot – quickly create screenshots (screenshots)FireShot(stripped version) – a plugin that will allow quickly take a snapshot of a website page in Google browser Chrome. Installing the pluginThe plugin can be installed from the Chrome online store by following the link: On the page that opens, click "+free" and confirm the new extension. After which you will be notified in the upper right corner of the browser that FireShot has been successfully installed. Clicking on the extension icon will open a menu. There are 3 options available: Capture entire page – screenshot of the entire website page, including scrolling. Capture visible area– a screenshot of only the area you see in this moment, without scrolling. Capture a region – screenshot of the selected part of the screen. Note that the corresponding key combination is displayed to the right of each option. As you can see, they are very uncomfortable. 4 buttons is too many. Therefore, you should go to the settings and register your own hotkeys that will be convenient for you. The main thing is that they do not coincide with standard Google Chrome hotkeys to avoid conflict. Also in the settings you can choose one of two default screenshot formats: JPG and PNG. As I already mentioned, this is a stripped-down version that provides only minimal functionality. On the screenshot saving page there is a link by clicking on which you can upgrade to PRO versions, which has significantly more options available. Let's screenshot the entire page I just talked about it in the previous article and realized that we also needed a screenshot that would take a snapshot of the entire site page (including what is visible only when scrolling). I didn’t even think that the topic of screenshots would be enough for 2 articles Suitable add-on for Chrome based browsers (Yandex.Browser, Google Chrome...) again found here https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions?hl=ru. This time it’s Nimbus Screenshot and Screencast - in general, it turned out to be a very sophisticated thing, it even shoots video. Taking a screenshot of the entire website page using the Nimbus Screenshot and Screencast extensionDownloadYou can download and install. After installation, an icon for this add-on will appear at the top right: Nimbus screenshot icon How to useTo take a full screenshot of a web page, you need to click on the icon of this add-on and select from the menu that appears "Screenshot of the entire page": Taking a screenshot of the entire page After this, the contents of the browser window will scroll from bottom to top and you will be transferred to the editor, where you can make inscriptions on the picture, draw lines, etc. Super-powerful editor: Screenshot editor in Nimbus Screenshot and Screencast After finishing editing, click “Done” and then the picture can be saved to a certain Nimbus Note, in, on your PC or printed. With this add-on you can take a screenshot not only of the browser contents, but of the entire window. And also record a video (select “Record video”). I was surprised, but the video is actually recorded, and quite well. You can also edit any pictures or draw something - to do this, you must first install this, and then select “Blank Slate” in the extension menu: I'm glad to see everyone on my blog again, friends. Max Metelev is at work and today’s article will be simple, understandable and interesting. We will look at how to take a full screenshot of your entire website and at the same time we will look at services, programs and tools for creating screenshots of your sites. As usual, all to the point and without water. Ready to learn the lesson? Then, let's go. How to take a screenshot of an entire website online? At the bottom there will be a field where you will be asked to enter the website address. Let's enter a random address, for example, take the website of Artemy Lebedev's studio - http : //www.artlebedev.ru/ You can also choose in which extension you want to see the entire site screenshot - for example, jpeg, png, etc. And then click on the “Capture Web Page” button After this, you receive a ready-made screenshot of the site in the form of a preview. Here's how in this example: You can view it immediately or download it to your computer. This is what it looks like in its entirety: Accordingly, this picture is scalable and when clicked with the mouse, it will increase to its entire width and height. How to take a screenshot of a website using services?I used to take website screenshots in a standard way via the command on the computer Alt+PrtSc. It turned out that only the visible part of the screen was included in the recording. Then I learned many others useful services and tools that allow you to take a screenshot of the entire site. Let's tell you about them. Pearl Crescent Page Saver – saves images or website web pages in whole or in part to jpeg formats or png. It is possible to scale the image from a smaller image to a larger one. IESNAPSHOTTER 1.01 – browser extension Internet Explorer. This is not for everybody. It's paid, there seems to be a demo on the official website. You can use it for free. LightShot – I wholeheartedly recommend using it! I do all my articles with his help. A very powerful program for creating screenshots of website pages. It doesn’t take a full screenshot, but there is rich functionality for editing such pictures - you can draw various arrows, highlight areas with different colors, insert text (you can enlarge it by scrolling with the mouse) and many other features. There is both a built-in extension for Google Chrome and a desktop version. I have both options. The one that is generally ideal on a computer. Just press the PrtSc button on your keyboard and take advantage of all its features. Installable programs on PCWebshot – a program that allows you to take screenshots in full or as previews. Its main advantage is working with command line, which allows you to automate the process of taking copies of the site from the screen. FastStone Capture – A powerful utility for creating screenshots of entire websites with a floating control panel. You can take pictures of different shapes. Paparazzi! – a small application for operating system Mac OS X with screenshot capabilities. Online Screenshot Tools– simple online tool of the same type as I described at the very beginning of the article. Just paste the link and click on Thumb It. The inconvenience is that it leaves its copyright on the photo. That's all for me. I think the list turned out well. You have a lot to choose from. If you ask which is better, then I will answer - only by trial and testing. Once again, I personally use LightShot for chrome. I'm just incredibly happy with them. A program for taking screenshots (image capture) of the entire screen, individual windows and any areas thereof. It allows you to do snapshot of the active window or the entire screen to choose from. Also possible capturing a window and then scrolling it. Available easy editing(changing the size of the picture, rotating / reflecting it, cutting out fragments, changing the color depth, etc.). Program settings
The FastStone Screen Capture program interface is simple, intuitive and looks nice (even 4 types of covers for the main panel are available). Most functions are duplicated using hotkeys, which makes work easier. Many settings will allow tailor the program to the needs of a specific user as much as possible. Thanks to the built-in editor, it can also be used for fast image processing. The program is free for home use. P.S. Also try this wonderful program FastStone Image Viewer for viewing created screenshots and any other images: Take a screenshot screen very easy using the default keyboard commands. But, if you want to take a screenshot entire page in the browser, and not just the visible area of the screen, then you will need special tools and a few extra clicks. There are at least 4 ways to take a screenshot of an entire web page: Zoom out the page and use default keysThis quick way This will only work if the page extends only slightly beyond the visible area of the screen. Zoom out the page until it fits completely on the screen, and then take a screenshot using the default commands:
Programs for taking screenshotsYou can install one of special programs to take screenshots on your computer. For example, I tried Snagit by Techsmith (both Windows and Mac), FastStone Capture (the program is only available for Windows) and Paparazzi (Mac only). When choosing, please note that some of these programs are not free. Share links in the comments if you know of other similar applications. Online tools for taking screenshotsIf you don't want to install anything on your computer, you can use one of these web tools to take a screenshot of the entire page directly in your browser: Snapito, Screenshot Machine or Web-capture.net . They all work in a similar way: just paste the URL desired page in the appropriate field on the service page. Browser extensionsThis is my favorite way to take screenshots of pages. No need to switch to another tab or launch separate application– less clicks! |
