Phones with NFC chip xiaomi. List of Xiaomi smartphones supporting NFC technology

Search Xiaomi phones with NFC, but you don’t know where the module is and which phone is missing the chip. Because not all Xiaomi smartphones are suitable for contactless payment. This instruction will help you figure out which Xiaomi devices support NFC.

Current list with NFS module on Xiaomi. All 2018 and 2019 models have also been added. Information why Xiaomi Redmi does not have NFC. The nuances of using the function with an unlocked bootloader.

Xiaomi NFC - instructions

Most often, users are looking for inexpensive and good phone Xiaomi, but with NFS. However, not all phone models have similar functionality. In this case, users need to figure out which smartphones have the coveted chip. So, if contactless payment is really absolutely necessary, but the budget for purchasing a phone is limited, start looking alternative options among other manufacturers.

Most often, users who need contactless payment prefer to buy premium devices with an NFS module installed by the manufacturer.

What is NFC?

What does this three-letter abbreviation mean and why, and why is there a question about the presence of this function in one or another Xiaomi models Most often can be found on the forum. This is especially true for new products of 2018, when after the release of a new model, fans are interested in whether there is NFS or not?

NFC- technology wireless communication(high frequency communication) with a short range (about 10-12 centimeters), which has become widespread in recent years. Near Field Communication operates at 13.56 MHz. With its help, you can transfer files between devices, for example, between phones and mobile terminals.

Main functions and applications:

  • contactless payment;
  • contactless payments;
  • payment for public transport;
  • Bluetooth pairing (version 2.1 and higher);
  • initializing other wireless connections.

Most often users search for Xiaomi smartphones with NFC to use contactless payments, set up Android Pay and pay for purchases in stores in Russia, Ukraine and other countries using your phone.

Does Xiaomi Redmi have NFC?

Since the beginning of its journey and entering the international market, the Chinese company also began producing phones with NFS support. However, the manufacturer equipped only its premium devices with such a module. If you look at it, it only applies to premium devices.

Until 2018 inclusive, the company does not change its principles and unique tradition, which in Xiaomi Redmi no NFC. No matter how cool you are new phone, for example or , it is still unsuitable for contactless payment, both in Russia and in Ukraine.

And this is not about the cost of the module. Since the chip itself costs a penny compared to the price of the phone. And not in the complexity of production. Since installing an NFS module is easier than, for example, a fingerprint scanner.

The main reason is the marketing concept and a clear division into budget and premium models. The company believes that contactless payments and full mobile banking– this is rather the prerogative of more expensive devices. And those users who want to use this function will buy a more expensive model.

If the company does release the first Redmi phone with NFC in 2019, it will 100% go down in history and become the best-selling budget phone of the year!

Xiaomi phones with NFC

Full list models on Xiaomi (relevance: March 2019).

Dear readers, on this moment There are 16 Xiaomi phones with NFC ().

So far, none of the models have NFS. Namely, in Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite and Mi A1.

Also included is Pocophone. Despite the fact that this is a popular smartphone of 2018 with powerful characteristics and a flagship Snapdragon processor 845, Pocophone F1 does not have NFC!

Gaming smartphones, developed jointly with the Black Shark sub-brand also come without the ability to use contactless payment.

How to enable NFC on Xiaomi?

Congratulations! The NFS module is now enabled. You can use Android Pay and share data with other devices.

Answers to frequently asked questions

  • What if it gives an error?

Check if the bootloader is locked.

  • Will the feature appear on Xiaomi Redmi after a firmware update?

No update software will not affect this in any way. Neither in , nor in MIUI 11, nor in any other custom firmware can you programmatically make something work that does not exist in technical terms.

Many smartphone development companies often integrate a so-called NFC module into their products. This is no longer uncommon for Xiaomi smartphones. Wireless data transfer technology is not only used to send files between phones, there is another important feature that is spreading everywhere every year - contactless payment. Many Xiaomi models have an NFC function that works using special applications. Communication takes place not only between smartphones, but many other devices, for example, household appliances.

What is an NFC module

As mentioned above, NFC (Near field communication) is wireless technology for transferring data between devices, it also acts as a contactless connection, allowing you to purchase goods in many stores, where possible. Communication on the phone via NFC is provided at a distance of up to 10 centimeters.

Dimensions of this device can be very small, which is why they decided to build small contactless communication modules into modern smartphones. They consume little energy. The technology also has several advantages over Bluetooth:

  • Short connection time;
  • Establishing a connection without identification;
  • More secure, since the received signal operates at a distance of up to 10-20 cm.

Safety in technology comes first. The developers took this into account and developed measures against interception. For example, you can only make a purchase with an unlocked device.

As for the execution of scenarios, there can be a lot of them. Using special tags on which information is recorded, you can control various NFC-enabled equipment. For example, turn on or off a home appliance, the smartphone itself. The opportunity is realized using software.

Now there are door locks that you can install on your door and open using NFC; you just need to write down the necessary information on the tag. It can be purchased in the store, and you can record any information using the TagInfo and TagWriter applications. For example, you can record the sending of a template message, a link, a contact, a phone number, and even bluetooth name devices.

One of the disadvantages is that the phones need to be kept close to each other to transfer data. As for the transfer speed, it is much lower than Bluetooth - up to 424 Kb/s. It is better to use NFC for contactless payment.

What applications is it used in?

There are quite a lot of applications that support this technology. For example, you can install Android Pay, Samsung Pay to link cards to them and pay using the NFC purchase module.

If you are interested in transferring files, then almost any application like Google Chrome, YouTube, Google Play or Galleries can send data via NFC. This feature in Xiaomi is called Android Beam, and it is also available in other Android devices.

For example, using the Maps application, you can very quickly send the coordinates of a certain point to another smartphone. It is not difficult to send a link to a website from your browser. WITH YouTube apps The title and link to the video are sent.

List of phones with chip

Let's consider all Xiaomi smartphones with NFC technology. These are mainly flagships, which means they won’t be cheap. Here's the main list:

  • Mi Max;
  • Mi5s;
  • Mi 5s Plus;
  • Mi Mix;
  • Mi 3;
  • Mi 5;
  • Mi Note 3;
  • Mi 2A.

All the phones reviewed have NFC, but for the rest, you can look at the product description and make sure that the technology is supported. Always read the specifications on the smartphone box or on the Internet.

The function can be activated both from the notification shade and from the settings in the “Wireless Networks” section. There you can also select an application for contactless payment and configure Android Beam to transfer files.

NFC is a very important feature in a modern smartphone. Residents of Russia, Ukraine and the CIS countries especially appreciated this - we are all very demanding about the presence of NFC in the device. But there’s just one small problem: many manufacturers refuse to build this module into a smartphone. For example, Meizu, OPPO, Vivo and the very “top for your money”, the entire non-flagship segment of Xiaomi.

However, NFC is not exactly an expensive module. They even put them in smartphones for 7 thousand rubles:

What if we take it and increase our budget a little more than twice? Up to 15 thousand rubles and go shopping in search of good quality smartphones with this module.

We are not looking for the best combination of price and quality. We're not looking for the best camera phone for the money. The purpose of this material is to show readers that a smartphone with NFC can be purchased for a relatively small amount.

It’s clear that you won’t find iPhones for that kind of money, Windows Phone is dead, and there are no other analogues at all. Therefore, we will look for smartphones with NFC among Android devices.

ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1

Behind 14,990 rubles Depending on the place of purchase, you can buy one of two versions: 3/32 and 4/64 GB. At the same time, on the official website the younger version will cost 14,990 rubles, and if you google or surf Yandex.Market for one minute, you can find the older version for the same money.

In addition to NFC, the buyer will receive a huge 5000 mAh battery, a 6-inch IPS screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Full resolution HD+. There is also a dual main camera, and the not at all shameful Snapdragon 636. In short, an analogue of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, only cheaper in official retail, with a larger battery and availability of NFC!

ASUS Zenfone MAX Pro (M1) review: mid-range hero

Alexander Pobyvanets

July 4, 2018

Valya held it in his hands and said this:

Nokia 5.1

The smartphone is near the upper price limit - 13,990 rubles. It runs on a MediaTek MT6750S (or Helio P18) processor. The disadvantages are a relatively weak 2970 mAh battery and a micro-USB connector. One of the advantages of archaism is the preserved 3.5 mm headphone jack.

But only one 2/16 GB version is available to customers. In 2018 it was completely languishing. But here is “bare” Android and Full HD+ on a 5.5-inch screen.

Huawei P Smart

This smartphone, unlike the previous one, does not have a separate slot for a flash drive and a SIM card, but it looks much more interesting. Behind 13,990 rubles the owner will receive a phone with a Kirin 659 processor in the 3/32 GB version, a 5.65-inch IPS screen with Full HD+ resolution, and a not very capacious 3000 mAh battery. There are two cameras, but the second one is needed only for portrait mode.

Samsung Galaxy J4+ (2018)

Samsung releases rather strange devices, seemingly not paying attention to existing competitors. In principle, Galaxy J4+ can be classified as such. Behind 12,990 rubles in official retail, the buyer will receive an entry-level smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, paired with three gigabytes of RAM. The storage here is standard 32 GB, but it is possible to use microSD cards up to 512 GB. What's funny is that the Galaxy S9 maximum volume Flash drives are limited to 400 GB, but here the state employee got up to 512 gigs! And, what’s nice, the SIM card slot is not combined with a microSD slot.

Other advantages, in addition to NFC, include a 6-inch IPS screen. True, its resolution makes me sad: 720 × 1480 pixels. Prepare to see grain. But the 3300 mAh battery is charged from an outdated micro-USB. Samsung, is this really a 2018 model?

Honor 7C

Huawei and its “daughter” have many shortcomings. One of them is the number of models produced. Did you think Xiaomi presents a smartphone every week? Pfft... You haven't seen the complete ones individually yet model series Honor and Huawei! This is where the devil not only breaks his leg, but also his head, trying to understand how it all differs from each other.

How do you like the dual SIM card slot and a separate microSD slot?

In official retail it costs 10,990 rubles. For this money, the buyer will receive a 5.7-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1440 × 720 pixels. Yes, this is not enough for a smartphone with such a screen, but it is also relatively inexpensive. For 12 thousand, the buyer will have access to one 3/32 GB version with a Snapdragon 430 processor and a separate slot for a memory card! In general, this is not even an average, but a full-fledged budget employee. True, for that kind of money you can buy a more interesting Xiaomi, but it will not have NFC. So you will have to sacrifice something.

Nokia 3.1

Don’t like “unibrows”, don’t need a lot of performance, but want “naked” Android? Nokia 3.1 is your choice. But I, as a tech journalist, am quite sad to look at its numbers: 2/16 GB version with eight-core budget processor MediaTek MT6750, 2990 mAh battery is available from the officials 10,990 rubles.

The smartphone is relatively small by the standards of 2018: 146.2 × 68.6 × 8.7 mm, that is, slightly larger than an iPhone 7 or 8. They were able to fit a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 720 × 1440 pixels into a small body, which is quite sufficient for such small displays.

ZTE Blade V9 Vita

For the same 10,990 rubles The ZTE smartphone looks much more vibrant than Nokia: it has the same eight-core, but still Snapdragon 435, and there is also a 3/32 GB version. Basically, for a stable Android work this should be enough.

With a larger IPS screen (5.45 inches with a resolution of 720 × 1440), the body dimensions are not much different from Nokia 3.1: 146.8 × 68.7 × 7.6 mm. And then there’s the larger battery: 3200 mAh. True, there is no that desired “naked” Android. But there is a second main camera module to create the effect of depth of field.

Yes, for that kind of money it’s almost impossible to buy a high-performance smartphone. You can, of course, look towards Xiaomi, but if you need NFC, then just forget about it - this module is not there, that’s all. So it's either one or the other. But the main thing: there are manufacturers who prove that the NFC module is not only the prerogative of flagship devices.

Smartphone manufacturers are constantly looking for ways to surprise customers. Displays are getting brighter, cameras are getting better, and more memory is being installed. Now another technological innovation in the phone market, such as a contactless communication chip, has become the norm. Xiaomi is also keeping up with its competitors; most new devices are equipped with NFC modules.

Near Field Communication (as the abbreviation stands) or NFC module is a wireless data exchange technology based on the old smart card standard. This connection works within a small radius (5-10 cm). Contactless or smart cards are plastic travel cards familiar to most, which are applied to the turnstile in the metro. The principle of operation of the chip in a smartphone is the same, only the receiver and transmitter are combined.

What opportunities does the “NFC Support” inscription on the box with the Xiaomi gadget give the user:

  1. Electronic money. Apple and Android Pay technologies are widespread. The smartphone is brought to the POS terminal in the store, and the banking information is read by the receiver from the phone. Smart watches and tablets are also used for this purpose.
  2. Using a phone instead of a smart card. For example, paying for travel on public transport. Instead of a plastic travel card, a telephone equipped with an appropriate chip is brought to the turnstile. Such expansion of infrastructure has not yet become widespread in the CIS countries.
  3. Establishing a connection between two mobile devices. You can quickly pair two smartphones via Bluetooth, skipping the search and mutual authentication steps.
  4. Near field communication is used for file transfer. The speed and width of the channel, however, are small, as is the range. The Android Beam function is used.
  5. Reading information from radio frequency tags. In Western countries they are installed on bulletin boards and contain Additional information. RFID tags are common as a means of preventing theft in supermarkets. These are stickers with a conductive track applied in the form of a spiral. You can program such tags yourself and then read information from them. For example, the phone turns on silent mode when you bring the device to an RFID sticker.

Contactless payment from Apple and Google is available in Russia. The remaining features are not yet in demand or are being tested.

How to set up data transfer and payments

The principle is the same on all Xiaomi phones.

Payment using a smartphone is available in stores with a POS terminal. The setup is as follows.

  1. Prerequisites: root access is disabled, the firmware is standard official, the bootloader is locked. Otherwise, payments will not work, which is dictated by security requirements.
  2. Go to “Settings” - “More” - “NFC” - “Security element location”. Select the item “Use HCE Wallet”. By default, Integrated Security Element is selected. The NFC module itself also needs to be turned on.
  3. Download official application Android Pay from Play Market.
  4. When you first start it, you will be asked to link a bank card. To do this, enter the number, expiration date and CVV code, as well as the owner’s home address. If a card has already been linked to, for example, Google Play Music, then you can select it.
  5. The Android Pay application should be set to autoload and select the “No restrictions” energy saving mode for it.
  6. Bring your unlocked smartphone to the terminal. After a couple of seconds, a payment message will appear.

In custody

Function contactless payments convenient, but not yet reliable. Some terminals have incorrect settings, in some places there are old models installed that do not support NFC payment at all. Some banks require that even if using Android Pay user entered the PIN code and signed the check. It is better to keep a plastic card with you to pay if new technology won't work.

Data exchange between Xiaomi devices NFC looks promising. The speed and ease of connection are obvious advantages. But in terms of channel width, good old Bluetooth wins. While the technology is suitable for transferring small text files, pictures, notes and contacts.

Programming your RFID tags is an activity for enthusiasts with a high barrier to entry. To do this, you need to order stickers from overseas and understand third party applications, which the average user does not need.

In general, Near Field Communication is a promising, but still underdeveloped option. We can only hope that the contactless communications infrastructure will expand over time.

Reading reviews of smartphones on the Internet or watching them on YouTube, you've probably heard about NFC more than once. Every first reviewer talks about this module, but what exactly this technology is is almost always left behind the scenes, because it is assumed that the reader or viewer is already in the know. We believe that there are still quite a lot of people for whom the NFC abbreviation means nothing, so in this article we will look at this topic in more detail.

Also, in the comments under previous articles, we were asked more than once whether there is NFC in Xiaomi. The answer is quite simple - yes, there is. Xiaomi with NFC is not at all uncommon, however, like most other manufacturers, Xiaomi equips only high-end smartphones with this technology. In the second half of the article, after we tell you what it is this technology wireless communications in general, we will also definitely present a list of Xiaomi with an NFC module. Happy reading.

The abbreviation NFC stands for Near Field Communication, which can be translated into Russian as “near field communication” or “near contactless communication”. This technology is still quite young and was first used in a mobile device in 2006. Based on the name, you can understand that it only works on short distances, namely only up to ten centimeters between devices. Maximum speed data transmission in NFC is 424 kb/s, and the technology operates at a frequency of 13.56 MHz.

According to the description, everything looks quite interesting and promising, but the reader may ask a reasonable question. What exactly is this module for and is it worth considering buying only Xiaomi phones with NFC support? And here it’s worth starting with the fact that modern world mobile devices This technology is finding more and more new applications. The question of whether your device supports NFC is not so much an immediate need as it is the prospects for your new device in the near future. Today, smartphones with support for contactless communication modules are needed mainly for fast data transfer between users and for contactless payments that are becoming increasingly popular.

It's no secret that information can be transferred between smartphones in many ways, so in this regard you can completely do without a special chip. But if you are interested in Android Pay, then today, unfortunately, you can’t go anywhere without a contactless communication module. There are simply no alternatives to NFC in terms of contactless payments yet, so if you want to get rid of many cards and use only one smartphone, then your choice is obvious. Nevertheless, the scope of application of the NFC chip is much wider than the above options, so we smoothly move on to the next block of our material.

Since today only smartphones from the upper price segment are equipped with NFC modules, before purchasing you should really think carefully about whether you really need it. A lot of people have phones with NFC, but do not take advantage of the capabilities they provide.

Applications and benefits

Several areas of application of near-contact communication technology can be identified. First of all this:

  1. Emulation plastic cards. It is used both for payments and for other transactions where contactless cards are supported.
  2. Communication with devices. It is used to transfer data between active devices and to allow them to work together.
  3. Reading tags. In this scenario, the active device communicates with the passive NFC tag to receive information or commands.

Now let's look at each of the above points in more detail.

It cannot be said that emulation of plastic cards using NFC is coming to the territory of the CIS countries at a rapid pace. Today these are mainly contactless payments, and not all banks provide such services. However, if you have a device with a near-field communication module and support for services such as Android Pay or Apple Pay, and your bank works with these services, then today you can pay in a supermarket or cafe without a card. A prerequisite for payment using NFC is also the presence of a special terminal that can work with this technology. Usually on such terminals there is a hand icon with a picture of Wi-Fi or there is an inscription "PayPass". Thus, the spread of contactless payments also depends on entrepreneurs, namely their willingness to buy special equipment for these purposes.

Many people are afraid to use NFC payment because they believe it is an easy opportunity for fraud. In fact, to make a contactless payment, your smartphone must be unlocked and you must bring it close to the terminal. That is, payment using NFC is inherently as secure as paying with a card, moreover, you don’t have to worry about someone finding out your PIN code. It is also worth noting that all payment systems By default, they have a one-time payment limit of 10 or 15 dollars to ensure that there is no possibility of erroneous or unauthorized debiting of funds from your account. If desired, of course, this limit can be changed or removed completely.

Beyond imitation bank card, The NFC module can also easily act as a pass for public transport or the metro. In our country, this experience is just beginning to be adopted, but in China, people have been paying for travel using their smartphones for quite a long time and successfully. The ability of NFC technology to replace most plastic cards is, to be honest, very attractive. With the development of contactless payment infrastructure, it will be possible to pay for almost any goods and services using just one smartphone, where it is possible to install a digital terminal.

The NFC module in smartphones can also be used to pair two active devices with each other. The first thing that comes to mind is file transfer. To do this, you just need to connect two smartphones via NFS, and then select required file and transfer it to your friend’s phone. This became possible after Google announced Android 4.0, and with it the Android Beam feature. A little bit later Samsung company improved this feature in its devices and called it S Beam. However, in addition to the transfer large files, with the help of this technology it is possible to transmit other types of information, but not many users know about this anymore. For example, if your phones support NFC, then you can exchange telephone numbers, Internet links and even applications. Just activate and bring your device with the necessary data to your friend’s smartphone and he will immediately have all the information, a website page or application window will open in a special store.

You can also connect your smartphone not only to another phone, but also to any devices that support the NFC contactless connection. It can be wireless headphones, smart watch and even televisions. There is no doubt that in the future the list of different devices will only expand. For example, today there are special electronic locks that can be opened without a key simply by holding your unlocked smartphone close to it. Quite convenient, isn't it?

If you have already purchased a smartphone and it does not support NFC, but you still want to get at least some of the benefits of this technology, do not be too upset. A good solution in this situation would be to buy yourself a special fitness bracelet with a near-field communication chip. These bracelets are very functional and can offer most of the most popular NFC capabilities today.

The third and final area of application of this technology on our list is reading special NFC tags. Such tags are usually small keychains or plastic cards. They weigh virtually nothing, require no power, and are very inexpensive. Typically, owners write a special set of commands or settings on such a tag that should be used in certain conditions. For example, you need your phone to turn on navigation in the car and get directions to a certain place, or to switch to silent mode at work, all this can be easily achieved using programmable tags. They can be placed almost anywhere, and sets of instructions for a smartphone are limited only by your imagination.

In the near future, the memory of NFC tags will be enough to fully use them in advertising. It will be possible to build billboards that will provide additional interesting information. Also, such tags can be placed in store windows or attached to menus in restaurants. The industry is developing very quickly, and this step can safely be called a great advance towards the implementation of the idea of a smart city.

We must not forget that NFC also has competitors. First of all, this is the famous and well-known Bluetooth wireless technology. However, despite the obvious superiority in data transfer speed, which is 24 Mb/s instead of 424 kb/s for NFC and a much larger range - 10 meters instead of 10 centimeters, Bluetooth also has a number of weaker sides, which makes it inapplicable in some scenarios, which were given as an example above. Thus, the speed of establishing a connection with NFC technology is almost instantaneous and is less than one tenth of a second, while establishing a connection via Bluetooth requires at least 6 seconds. Also, due to its short range, NFC is more stable, it is difficult to jam, interrupt or intercept, while Bluetooth cannot boast of such reliability. Also, the NFC module can work with inactive devices or even tags without power; with a Bluetooth connection, both devices must actively exchange data.

How it works?

NFC technology is based on an induction coil that generates an electromagnetic field. When such a field is exposed to another induction coil, a current arises in it, which is subsequently converted into a signal. By influencing each other, the coils can exchange data if the devices are active, or an active coil can excite another unilaterally, as is the case with tags. IN Xiaomi phones This principle of operation is completely preserved. Thanks to this, the newest and most current Xiaomi with NFC is easily and fully compatible with the very first devices that support contactless communication.

However, certain differences in the operation of the devices may be observed. This is mainly due not to the pairing of devices with NFC itself, but to the method of data transfer after this stage. Many people believe, for example, that data after pairing is transferred directly via NFC, but this is not the case. The 424 kb/s channel that this technology provides would be completely insufficient for quickly transmitting large amounts of data. Thus, in Android Beam, after connecting smartphones, Bluetooth is already used to transfer main files, and S Beam from Samsung uses even more fast wifi Direct.

If you need a smartphone with an NFC module, but are on a limited budget and cannot afford to buy a top-end new product, then purchasing a less expensive model that was released several years ago would be a good option. You may not get everything that the manufacturer offers now, but you will have a current device, the NFC module of which should work no worse than that of the new product.

How to enable NFC on Xiaomi?

We are gradually approaching the most interesting part. You may have already purchased a brand new smartphone, but you don’t know how to enable NFC on Xiaomi. In fact, everything is quite simple, because setting up, say, Mi8 is practically no different from setting up any other smartphone from this company. So if you know how to set up one Xiaomi, you can easily figure out others.

Now let's look at how to configure Xiaomi with an NFC module in more detail and point by point:

  1. Go to the system settings and select the item "Additional functions", which is in the subsection "Wireless network".
  2. In the window that opens, find the switch "NFC" and activate it.
  3. Next we move on to "Android Beam" and, if necessary, activate it as well.

This completes the installation of NFC settings for Xiaomi, and you can enjoy all the benefits of near-field communication.

List of Xiaomi smartphones with NFC support

If you are just going to buy yourself a new smartphone from Xiaomi, but don’t know which Xiaomi devices support NFC, then you will probably need a list of all the current devices. The list will include both new products and Xiaomi smartphones with NFC, which were released several years ago. Some of them are already difficult to find on sale, but if they are available new or used, they will fundamentally not be inferior to newer devices in terms of capabilities in using contactless communication.

So, today the following models are equipped with an NFC module:

  • Xiaomi Mi 3;
  • Xiaomi Mi 5;
  • Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus;
  • Xiaomi Mi 6;
  • Xiaomi Mi 8;
  • Xiaomi Mi Note 2;
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix;
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 2;
  • Xiaomi Mi Note 3.

As you can see, this list contains only smartphones in the upper price segment. You can also notice that Xiaomi Mi 4 is missing from the list. This is explained by the fact that at the time of the release of this model, the company did not particularly count on the success and long life of this technology.

A more pressing question from all Xiaomi fans will be why there is no NFC in any Xiaomi Redmi series. It looks like Xiaomi doesn't have much faith in technology today. However, near-contact communication is becoming more popular every day, and therefore it is likely that the hour is approaching when we will be able to see the NFC module in budget models smartphones from everyone’s favorite company from the Middle Kingdom.
